Back in the late 1940s, Porsche’s first production car was a small, open-top vehicle called the 356. It represented the humble beginnings of the world’s pre-eminent sports car manufacturer that we know and love today. And yet, throughout the evolution of Porsche, the company’s open-topped cars have never enjoyed the same critical adulation as its coupés.
