Not quite at the cutting Edge
Ford’s facelifted Edge is impressively spacious but it doesn’t do anything brilliantly enough to challenge the premium SUV market leaders, writes Matt Robinson
Ford is trying to muscle in on the mid-sized premium SUV marketplace, and the size of the task facing the American company is certainly not small. This is a battleground dominated by some of the heaviest hitters in the field: Audi and its Q5, BMW and the X3, the elegant Mercedes-Benz GLC and, from a brand once under Ford’s auspices, the exceptional Volvo XC60.
