Two weeks ago, the annual calendar of wine fairs kicked off, with New Zealand taking over the Aviva Stadium to celebrate 21 years of New Zealand Wine Fairs in Ireland. Our Irish connection with New Zealand wine goes back long before this, however, before the arrival of Cloudy Bay in the late 1980s, and back to the very foundations of modern New Zealand itself.
