Melissa Curry's Ohlala necklace
The Ohlala necklace gets its name from the Bowerbird. This particular bird species is a kind of architect who designs his nest to attract a female mate, according to the designer Melissa Curry.
“The pigeon-sized casanova constructs an elaborate structure on the forest floor and once a female enters, he struts and dances and shows off his treasures in an attempt to woo her,” says Curry.
