Like it, want it, covet it here is our inside style guide

Established in 2003, the Contemporary Collection of Design & Craft aims to preserve the antiques of the future, spanning the best of Irish ceramics, glass, furniture, wood turning, fashion, jewellery and accessories. Over 100 pieces from Ireland’s leading designers have to-date been acquired, with many of the works on display at the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks on Dublin’s north quays. The entire collection has now become accessible to all through the launch of an online gallery jointly hosted by the National Museum of Ireland (museum.ie/decorative-arts-history) and the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (dccii.ie/portfolio). And, to mark the occasion, four recent acquisitions have been showcased, including a newly commissioned porcelain sculpture by Isobel Egan and a digitally printed silk dress by Jennifer Rothwell (pictured). “This online presence for the Contemporary Collection of Design & Craft will allow audiences around the world to view and learn more about the acquired pieces, and the designers and makers behind the beautiful work,” says Karen Hennessy, chief executive of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.
