Mini’s Clubman estate has always been the oddball in the range. Named after a somewhat unloved second-generation model introduced in the 1970s, it started life in the mid-2000s as an estate with two conventional front doors, two “barn-door” boot doors and an unusual rear-hinged third side door, mounted only on the right because the fuel tank filler was on the left.
