Irish soprano Jennifer Davis is basking in the glow of rave reviews in the British media, after recently standing in at short notice for the lead role of Else in Wagner’s Lohengrin at Covent Garden.

The reviews followed some complaints by critics who considered the former Royal Opera House trainee not mature enough to replace the Latvian singer Kristine Opolais, who was indisposed for medical reasons.
