PJ Lynch is an illustrator fascinated by the art of transformation. Growing up in Belfast during the Troubles, he was drawn to the bright colours of the loyalist murals near his home. The images, particularly those featuring a horse-riding King Billy, became lodged in his mind, providing an unlikely source of inspiration for a young Catholic boy in search of escape.
