Don’t look now, but Game of Thrones has a tough new competitor waiting in the wings. Britannia, Sky Atlantic’s original nine-part series airing from Thursday, is taking on the big guns with its own singular arsenal: myth, mysticism, bloody battle scenes, Celt royalty, the underworld and the Roman Empire.
