More than 300 Irish gardens, both private and public, throw open their gates to visitors over the summer months. From grandiose stately homes to understated private gardens, visitors are spoiled for choice. Fairy trails, waterfalls, castles and mazes, potagers, rose-covered pergolas and jungle glades of tree ferns, there is something for everyone in the gardens of Ireland. It is hard to choose the best ones, but here are some you shouldn’t miss this summer.
