It's not the first time an illustrious design name has adorned the flanks of a Ford

Alfredo Vignale, according to Ford, was one of the first ‘coachbuilders’ (loosely translated from carrozzeria in Italian), taking regular cars and transforming them into something unique. Vignale Carrozzeria operated in Turin in Italy from about 1948 to 1969, working on bespoke creations based on mostly Italian marques. Ford acquired the company in 1973 and now it’s to be found on a range-topping Mondeo right here in Ireland.
