It’s never too early to start planning visits to some of the great food festivals which will be taking place around the country this autumn, and one of the early contenders for best line-up of the season is the Waterford Harvest event from September 8 to 10. Highlights includes a pop-up lunch by Cork-based Japanese chef Takashi Miyazaki (September 10, La Boheme restaurant, €75), and The Banquet on the Mall, which will see Darren Collins of the Olive Tree restaurant, Shane McGrath of the Cliff House and Fergal Walsh from the Seagull Bakery serve a five-course meal (September 8, the Olive Tree, €65).
