Composer Barry links up with RTE

Gerard Barry has been appointed composer-in-residence at RTE for three years, beginning next autumn. This will involve RTE’s entire orchestral forces, quartet and choirs.

The residency kicks off in a major way on October 30, with the Irish premiere of Barry’s piano concerto by the symphony orchestra and soloist Hugh Tinney on October 30.
