Bordeaux became the bitcoin of the 1980s, with prices leaping out of the reach of ordinary wine lovers, but sellers are finally taking steps to make the produce more accessible again

The great Bordeaux châteaux are all still standing, and the beautiful 2,000-year-old city of Bordeaux is gleaming in cleaned honey coloured stone and resplendent with its new public transport system, extended TGV railway station and the architecturally startling Cité du Vin museum.
