64% say government should have retained lower Vat rate for restaurants

A large majority of people think the government should have retained the lower rate of Vat at 9 per cent for restaurants and cafés in Ireland, according to the latest Business Post/Red C opinion poll.

The findings come following weeks of concerns from the food industry as a wave of restaurant closures have highlighted major issues in the sector.
