Is there any clearer indication of success than doing your Big Shop in Marks & Spencer? I would argue that no, there is not. Sure, job security and satisfaction, a reliable roof over your head, a nice car, a happy life – these are all fine. But show me a person who requires a trolley when they enter an M&S, and I’ll show you the king of the world. Imagine buying your spuds there? Your butter? Your cleaning products? Imagine giving your cat M&S cat food? Do they even sell cat food at M&S? They must. It’s probably laden with caviar and dreams.
