Loaded Dice, a theatre company that aims to produce professional-quality drama for a wide audience by adults with intellectual disabilities, takes a cue from Shakespeare for its latest production

Twenty-two-year-old Pierce Walsh dreams of being a professional actor. Acting, he says, “is the greatest form of expression ever known to humanity. It lets you experience emotions and things you don’t see in yourself.” Walsh plays one of the lead roles in Loaded Dice Theatre Company’s latest production, Do We Not Laugh?, an original play by Charlotte Tiernan based on Shakespeare’s tragedy The Merchant of Venice.
