A timely and intelligent look at love

In On It by Canadian writer Daniel MacIvor defies the idea of a ‘well made play’. On the surface, it’s less a single coherent narrative and more a series of scenes – some obviously interconnected, some less so. But despite the play’s fragmentation, MacIvor supplies enough clues for the audience to piece the stories together, all the while commenting on the process of creating theatre.
