Germany’s fifth-largest city may be better known for its commerce than its cool quotient, but there is more than meets the eye to Frankfurt - making it a great place to spend a weekend

On paper, everything about Frankfurt is big. It’s an alpha world city, has one of the world’s busiest airports, and is an international financial hub with the HQs of the European Central Bank, German Federal Bank, Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Deutsche Bank all in its midst. It is also home to the world’s largest internet exchange point, and hosts some of the world’s largest trade fairs, including Messe Frankfurt.
