The turkey is trussed, the ham rolled in preparation for its spiced bath and the wines have been ordered. I’ve already set you up with bottles for the Christmas dinner table and cheeseboard, but it can be easy to forget about the season’s other days and nights – times when you want a special vintage to share, a cocktail to sip on or some fizz to bring a sparkle into dark evenings.
