More than a little art: Maserati’s drop-top MC20 Cielo

A high-end Maserati would normally be named after a wind – Grecale, Ghibli or Mistral – to give it an air of the exotic. But the Italian company has clearly decided its new supercar, built to beat Ferrari at its own game, doesn’t need any such fripperies. So MC20 it is, but Maserati has added a little panache by calling the spectacular new convertible version the “Cielo”, which means sky in Italian.
