Their first album since 2013 marks a brilliant return to the fray from the still forceful Yeah Yeah Yeahs

When Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ debut album Fever to Tell was released almost 20 years ago, they were almost by default lumped in with New York City’s early Noughties hipster scene. The linchpins of that creative cauldron may have been the Strokes, but their studied detachment was amusingly upended by YYYs’ lead singer Karen O, whose onstage exuberance lit up venues like a volcanic eruption.
