The controversy surrounding a new Saudi-funded golfing extravaganza is a useful reminder that some people simply have too much money

Have you ever turned down something because it didn’t sit well with your principles? Some years ago, I was offered a voiceover gig for a radio advert connected to the Pope’s visit to Ireland. I’m not religious and the Catholic Church’s dark record in Ireland in relation to human rights – forced adoptions, Magdalene laundries and discrimination against women – speaks for itself.
