The talented young Tyrone actor’s dream opening on Broadway was slammed shut in 2020 as Covid struck. But she got to make a splash at the Gaiety in a production of Martin McDonagh’s play The Lonesome West

In the upstairs space of a photographer’s studio in Dublin’s city centre, Zara Devlin is throwing shapes. Clad in a black, puffy-sleeved dress, Devlin leans this way and that, playing deftly with a vintage bowler hat, and flipping attitudes for the camera, from thoughtful to cheeky to sultry, as easily as riffling through a deck of cards.
