‘Getting lucky is no good unless you’re working hard when that luck arrives’ – Daithí, musician

Ahead of performing at the Fómhar in Fanore mini-festival in Clare, the musician and producer reveals his five fantasy dinner party guests, the best advice he ever got and what makes him happiest

“I did TV and radio journalism in college,” Daithí Ó Drónaí says. “I never even considered music as a profession until I appeared on a talent competition on RTÉ called The All Ireland Talent Show.” With the showbiz bug having bitten, Ó Drónaí began gigging around his native Co Clare, playing violin with a loop pedal, and releasing his first EP in 2011.
