Did you hear about the Greystones schools that banded together to adopt a “no smartphone” policy? All eight primary schools in the Wicklow area have established a voluntary code, which parents sign up to – and it’s not just keeping the devices out of the school buildings, but out of the students’ hands entirely. The parents are pledging not to give their children phones at all for the duration of primary school.
