Dick O’Riordan: Galway leads €1m European Songs of Travel project

Music for Galway (MFG) has been appointed to spearhead a €1 million project to develop songs about migration across the eurozone.

The aim is to co-commission five works of contemporary classical music by composers connected with migration, one of which will form the soundtrack to an interactive adventure game titled Songs of Travel. The game will tell five stories of migrants fleeing troubled homelands to new beginnings in Europe.
