Teen dramas tinged with an element of intrigue have been a highly successful concoction for Netflix over the years, no more so than with coming-of-age drama Outer Banks. Season one was a smash hit, with many of the cast members experiencing a meteoric rise in popularity across their social platforms.
The show follows a tight-knit group of local teens (the “Pogues”) in the beach-vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When a hurricane kills the power for the summer season, it initiates a series of illicit events, forcing the group to make life-altering decisions. JMB
