If you’re after a new drama to dive into, then you’re in luck – Vigil, starring Suranne Jones and Martin Compston, begins tonight on BBC One. Made by the production team behind Line of Duty and Bodyguard, it follows DCI Amy Silva as she boards the titular submarine to investigate the suspicious death of a crew member and mysterious disappearance of a fishing trawler. Before long, she has uncovered a dark conspiracy that threatens her own safety. JMB
