And Just Like That …

Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker return for the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That ... (Thursday, Sky Comedy, 9pm)

Thursday, December 9

Sky Comedy, 9pm

It’s been 23 years since we first met Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha, the powerful women of Sex And the City. A pop culture phenomenon in its day, running for six seasons and spawning two feature films, in retrospect, it hasn’t aged well – particularly in relation to diversity of representation and commentary on sexuality. Acknowledging these past failures, the new reboot promises to embrace the diverse cultural tapestry of modern-day New York. While Kim Cattrall will not be reprising her role as fan favourite Samantha, the rest of the quartet are back and so is the elusive Mr Big. And Just Like That . . . follows them as they navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. JMB
