It might be honourable, decent and brave for politicians to offer their resignation when something goes wrong but, a word of advice – don’t do it

In the wake of the Robert Troy controversy I’m proposing an entirely new induction process for TDs. It’s a single laminated sheet with ‘Don’t resign’ written on it. For a politician, resigning is always a bad idea.
