Wright family battling over fish and ships in rancorous legal dispute

Bitter dispute continues as Mark Wright applies for costs of previous commercial court proceedings

Three generations of the family behind the Wrights of Howth fish empire are involved in a “rancorous” legal battle involving millions of euro, fishing trawlers and the alleged solicitation of employees.

Commenting on the case, Justice Denis MacDonald said the Wright family had descended into such a level of dispute that “one would hope it would never be ventilated in court” – and yet “unfortunately” it had been.
