The tips of the judge’s fingers supported the weight of his head as his words, carefully chosen and deliberately spoken, determined the next phase of Boy A and Boy B‘s lives. Mr Justice Paul McDermott was handing down the sentence to the youngest people ever to be convicted of murder in Ireland.
