Firms ‘fear rise in street protests’

Law partner says clients are concerned that a recent increase in demonstrations may affect the safe running of businesses

Businesses and some current and former gardaí are concerned about a “growing trend” of protest behaviour, it has been claimed.

Joe Kelly, a partner in A&L Goodbody’s litigation and dispute resolution department, said there had been a “fairly constant engagement in protest activity” in Ireland and other countries recently.
