Bellew misled EasyJet over non-compete clause – judge finds

Former Ryanair chief operations officer sent earlier employment contract to airline

29th December, 2019
Peter Bellew met with EasyJet chiefs

Peter Bellew’s correspondence during his contract negotiations with the airline EasyJet was found to have been “not only misleading”, but “untrue” by Justice Senan Allen in his High Court judgment.

The judgment was delivered in Ryanair’s unsuccessful action to prevent Bellew, its chief operations officer, moving to take up the same role with their rival, EasyJet, by enforcing a 12 month non-compete covenant Bellew had signed in June 2018.
