Puppets Podge and Rodge suffered a reversal in fortune last year, with a loss of more than €430,000 at the company behind the foul-mouthed duo.

Zig & Zag Enterprises, which is majority-owned by puppet creators Ciaran Morrison and Mick O’Hara, had no ‘‘work in progress’’ at the end of last year, compared with work valued at more than €210,000 a year earlier. Shareholders’ funds at the firm fell from €647,780 to €214,489....
