Robbie Kelleher of Davy Stockbrokers gives his views on the coming year for the markets and the global economy.

This time last year, the prospects for the global economy and global financial markets looked reasonably bright. The post-Lehman Brothers recovery that began in the middle of 2009 had gathered pace in 2010, and we now know that global GDP expanded by a very respectable 5 per cent in that year.

We also now know that global corporate profits rebounded by 40 per cent in 2010, and that the combination was sufficient to drive a very strong recovery...
