The EU fiscal treaty remains on course to be passed, with support from almost half of voters, though there remains a substantial minority of voters opposed to the treaty.

The EU fiscal treaty remains on course to be passed, with support from almost half of voters, though there remains a substantial minority of voters opposed to the treaty.

Though no date has been fixed for the referendum, senior government sources say that a date in late May is most likely, leaving just two months for the campaign.
