Location-based business directory website Yelp.com is taking on Facebook and FourSquare by offering smart phone users check-in based offers.

Location-based business directory website Yelp.com is taking on Facebook and FourSquare by offering smart phone users check-in based offers.

Yelp has chosen Ireland, along with Britain, Australia, Canada and its home market of the US, as the countries in which the service will debut.

An updated Yelp application is already in Google’s Android Market and will debut shortly on Apple’s App Store.
