Yeats’s 150th birthday is celebrated with a flourish

This month, the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Butler Yeats.

Among a broad range of works by the 85 members, the 2015 exhibition will include a number of paintings created either in homage to, or reflecting the poetry of, Ireland’s first Nobel laureate. Each will be exhibited with a written illustration of the poem that inspired the artist’s creation.
