UPDATE: The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Central Bank of Ireland is evaluating whether it needs to secure additional access to printing presses.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Central Bank of Ireland is evaluating whether it needs to secure additional access to printing presses in case it has to churn out new bank notes to support a reborn national currency.

This has not been confirmed by the Central Bank whose spokeswoman's only comment was to say that the bank is "only printing euros".
