Wristbands boost Irish charities
Cyclist Lance Armstrong has one, Bono launched one, and now Irish charities are getting in on the act of fundraising wristbands.
The ISPCC and Marie Keating Foundation are among those benefiting from the trend that has seen coloured wristbands replace ribbons as a fundraising and fashion fad. The red ISPCC wristband was launched at the Childline concert on January 30 and has already raised more than €100,000.
