World Bank chooses US nominee as new president
The World Bank said today it had chosen US nominee Jim Yong Kim to be its new president.
The World Bank said today it had chosen US nominee Jim Yong Kim to be its new president. The 52-year-old physician will succeed Robert Zoellick, whose term expires at the end of June.
Dr Kim, a public health expert, is South Korean born but moved to the US as a child. He was chosen for the job ahead of Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria's finance minister and a former director at the bank.
