Work has begun on the second phase of a new €40 million commercial development in Athy, Co Kildare.

Work has begun on the second phase of a new €40 million commercial development in Athy, Co Kildare.

The 16 acre site is being developed by Hampton Properties and is dubbed the Athy Business Campus. The project is due for completion in 2009,when it will include 12 blocks, all of which will have broadband.

The buildings include 122 industrial, warehouse and office units, one high-tech office block and a purpose-built creche.
