Women's Council backs X Case legislation

The National Women’s Council of Ireland will call for the government to introduce legislation for the so-called X Case early in 2013 when it addresses the Joint Committee on Health and Children today.

The National Women’s Council of Ireland will call for the government to introduce legislation for the so-called X Case early in 2013 when it addresses the Joint Committee on Health and Children today.

Orla O’Connor, director of the National Women’s Council of Ireland, said: "The vast majority of women in Ireland want legislation to give effect to the X Case ruling."
