Women continue to be responsible for food and grocery shopping in Irish households, according to new research from the National Consumer Agency.

Two thirds of shoppers indicated that they have visited a particular shop due to the prices or offers available there.

Almost three quarters of women surveyed, 72 per cent, said they were mainly responsible for food and grocery shopping, with a further 13 per cent stating they were jointly responsible.
