A South African asylum-seeker who gave a false name when she applied for asylum is to be deported after failing to persuade the High Court to order her release from detention.

A South African asylum-seeker who gave a false name when she applied for asylum is to be deported after failing to persuade the High Court to order her release from detention.

Annastacia Robertson arrived in Ireland in 2000 using the alias of Martha Kenny and unsuccessfully applied for asylum.

When her application was rejected, she was told to report to Henry Street garda station in Limerick to be deported, but she left the state beforehand.
