Winter sales see prices rise 0.8% in February - CSO

Consumer prices increased by 0.8 per cent in February as prices recovered in the winter sales, the latest Consumer Price Index data showed.

Consumer prices increased by 0.8 per cent in February as prices recovered in the winter sales, the latest Consumer Price Index data showed.

This compared to an increase of 0.9 per cent recorded in February of last year, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed. Prices on average, as measured by the CPI, were 1.1 per cent higher in February compared with February 2012.
