The annual Willie Clancy Summer School returns this weekend to Miltown Malbay, Co Clare, with about 1,000 students participating in Irish music and dance classes and recitals.

The annual Willie Clancy Summer School returns this weekend to Miltown Malbay, Co Clare, with about 1,000 students participating in Irish music and dance classes and recitals.

As well as being a tribute to the world-renowned musician, the summer school aims to encourage the growth of Irish music and dance.

Classes will be taught all this week by experts such as Terry Moylan, Marie Garrity and Mick O’Connor.
