Why the Jews came to Ireland, and left

In that part of Dublin where James Joyce’s fictional Leopold Bloom was born, and which was once known as Little Jerusalem, the dark, bearded men walking the streets are not orthodox Jews, but Muslims whose presence is made plain in halal shops and a mosque, but more dramatically by veiled Muslim women pushing buggies.

There is clearly some irony in the fact that two faiths so long at loggerheads in our own time ...
